Hi,
you may also consider the CP2102 chip from Silicon Labs. From the PC side you can use it with the Virtual Com Port (it appears as a normal COM port) or in USB mode using the libraries provided by Silabs. On the microcontroller side you can look at it as a simple UART, and you can connect it to the standard UART of 8051. Howewer if you already made your board with the other chip this cannot help you.... Best Regards. Massimo. |
