#89686 - Hall Effect Sensor |
Hi, I am trying to interface an 89C2051 to my motorcycle to measure RPM. I have succesfully made this work on my other bike but ignition pickup system is different.
The voltage from the pickups starts at 1.2 volts and will increase to about 18 volts with increasing RPM. I tried the circuit by Mr. Karas http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=32045 with my Hall sensor but input signal must be too small to trigger the optocoupler. Any ideas? Do I need to amplify this signal first? Regards James Krushlucki |
