Actually, that's every 2nd or 4th stroke - there are two strokes (one up, one down) per cycle (revolution).


It's funny, though, how (at least here in the colonies) the terms for "stroke" and "cycle" are used interchangably.

Wouldn't be the first example of incorrect usage.
