#91358 - Elegant?
Responding to: ???'s previous message

As you can see, you have roughly 3 ms ...

Hmm...
I think Michael's approach, where the relay does nothing until you specifically tell it to, sounds more elegant that just hoping that "roughly" 3ms will be about right?

This circuit will add delay to all relay operations - not just power-up

You may still want to add a buffer between the 8051 port pin and the rest of the circuit ... if you don't mind using two port pins

But if you add a "buffer," you have Michael's original circuit anyway - no need for extra delays!

... if you don't mind using two port pins ...

Now that's just getting unnecessarily complicated!
