#93294 - I don't want to give any secrets away! Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Ghassan, For me to write a piece of example code that talks to a modem would probably take about 40 hours by the time I plan what I'm going to do, purchase a modem to test with, sign up for a dial-up internet account, write the code, document it adequately and test it. And you want it in assembler! If I did have an already written piece of code that I could distribute, then maybe I would contribute it, but unfortunately I don't. Also, why in assembler? It would be much faster to write the code in 'c' as the modem stuff would require a bit of string manipulation methinks. Anyway, I dare say there is heaps of example code to talk to modems on the internet without me contributing another! I've offered a concept on how best to talk to modems - hopefully something more successful than what Nahed was trying to do. I'm sorry I can't offer much past that. |
