Nobody, whatever they have done, can say exactly what you need to do. Only suggestions can be made - modems are different - timing may be different - who knows. STOP trying to fix it, learn what it is, then work on it. Get the maual for the modem out and READ, READ, READ till you find out what the minimum you can send to the modem and get a reply (make sure that if "initialization" is required you do that). If you do not have a manual for the modem you have, go buy another modem with a manual and use that modem. Then work with that communication ONLY till you see something happen. You state you can see the modem commands when using a PC as a "modem simulator" - can you talk to the modem from the PC and get a response with the same hyperterminal settings? In other words CUT IT DOWN TO THE BARE MINIMUM, then start finding out what actually is going on Erik |
