#93627 - A bit vague Responding to: ???'s previous message |

Hi, I am having a problem with my 89C2051 circuit and cool temperatures. When temperatures close to freezing ocurr the unit doesn't work. Are you sure it's (just) temperature that's your problem? Could it (also) be humidity/condensation? What exactly do you mean by, "doesn't work?" Describe exactly what does & does not happen. It is a simple signal generator circuit that flashes an led before it breaks into the main code. Different people have different ideas as to what constitutes "simple" You need to post a full schematic. Are you sure that there's nothing external to your circuit that's causing this; eg, power supply or batteries? I first suspected the crystal oscillator but upon checking the datasheet its operating temperature doesn't seem to be the issue. Have you checked that it actually is working? Even though it's within spec, other factors in your circuit may be affecting it - just one example of why we need to see a schematic. |
