#93806 - Computer? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
What about reviving the old community project about building a '51-clone based microcomputer? No "special chips", all done using different (or same?) '51 clones - 4 microcontrollers, one for IO, one for gfx, one for audio and one as the CPU. Writing some kind of simple OS for it, getting it to be something like Atari 800.
About pendulums being easy - add some simple non-linearities and you make the problem helluva difficult. And even if mathematically it's easy, actually -building- that thing and getting it to work is a completely different matter. Lots and lots of tiny problems, each of them taken separately, trivial, but take them together and you're sinking. |
