So you want an idea for a project. And I am not going to give one as most have already been given in this thread. But what I want to tell ( as I always tell the numerous students who want GOOD projects..)is this :

Look at the companies making watches- now beyond telling time / date what else is needed of it ? But they didn't stop there - they tried it digital; they made it Ana-Digi ; they made it multi zone; they made it show the phase of moon ( though I wonder why ); they added a stopwatch and called it chrono; they added barometer/altimeter/BP sensor; they threw in a Tachymeter in it; they added a calculator; some said it never needs a battery with Eco-Drive; another calls it Kinetic - meaning it charges the battery from your body movements; another made the first astronaut to moon wear it and calls it limited edition. Now don't you see the power of innovation in a simple thing like watch ?

> So don't look for a grand project. Look for a good concept (like what Michael had drawn ) and if it has some of your own innovation - so much the better. And when complete, every word in the written document must be UNDERSTOOD and JUSTIFIABLE by you.



I know of one which can be completed in this time frame, but not sure how the university will view the delivered product ;-)
