#94396 - Just in case you're not being facetious, Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Steve,
Just in case you're not being facetious, American (at least U.S.) universities designate courses with a three or four digit code. The first digit designates the year of study, and the remaining two (or three) digits designate the course within a given subject. So course 101 (or 1001) represents the first course of study (in a given subject) one would take in their first year. 100 (or 1000) level courses are freshman, 200 - sophomore, 300 - junior, 400 - senior, 500 - and 600 are first and second year Masters work and 700 - and 800 - level courses are for doctoral students. You'll have to ask some Canadians, Mexicans, Brazilians, Hondurans, El Salvadorans, etc., how they do it in their American universities. |
