That's exactly why I call for a way how to update them easily, to utilise the power of "collaborative effort".
I would rather rely on the manufacturer having updated than the "hope" that "someone" had updated that particular entry in a "chip database".

Anyhow, do not get me wrong "chip databases" can be useful for some things, just unconditionally, when you have found your chip, go to the manufacturer to get the actual and current datasheet.
