First of all let me say that I never claimed this circuit to be the super cheapest solution on the planet for isolated RS-232 nor I proposed it for volume productions. Also Mehdi didn't ask for for the cheapest solution either. This circuit may cost few more bucks but it works and does the job. I am just wondering why an argument has been started while I had no such intention nor it was desired to compare the prices of various isolated converters. I already pointed out and repeat that there are parts of world where everything is not available and I also can't guarantee if everything would be available to him. If you think the circuit is wrong and will not work, we can discuss it otherwise I am not interested in any argument like price comparison. It is upto the original poster whatever suits him. I have tried to help with what I could. You have also given help by pointing out a MAXIM part. Why are we arguing? Just beacuse "my solution is better"?? |
