#97242 - Trivia: RS232 level conversion
I am certainly going to get "didn't search first" but I really searched 8052.com for quite a long time and had not found a single example of a MAX232-or-similar-based level convertor with relevant schematics, so that I can refer to that if I need to show it to somebody how it should be done. I used this link recently as an example, but shouldn't there be something similar on the 8052.com pages?

I also recollect in some threads people here were mentioning MAX-232-like ICs to have various problems (e.g. somebody mentioned a variant that has differently polarized capacitors).

This is an excellent example of what I think should be developed within a wiki, but now I am only trying to collect your experiences and do that manually - maybe also ending up as a regular 8052.com FAQ?
