I agree, but, Erik, never mind, this one will maybe go on flaming till friday...
I like Jon's solution most - although if there is something inside the inner loop, it really gets executed +1 times - if that's a problem, the solution would be a bit more complicated. Erik's would "fail" on R7=R6=0... bu we can call it a feature :-) Now let me put a twist on the puzzle: how to make it linear, i.e. the execution time = p + q * (r7:r6) ? Jan Waclawek |
