One question I have is: Why is it we don't want anyone responding until the week has gone by? It seems like ongoing replies stimulates discussion on ways (and better ways) to solve the problem
I really do not know what would be the best. My original idea behing "no answers, please" was to include the "post readers" in actively solving the problem, not just filing the solution.
It may, very well, be that open answers as of day one could be better - I have no idea.
One thing, however, since by its nature puzzles may invoke some wrong answers it might be an idea to separate them from the 8052 forum "search" functions.
