hi,

Why is it we don't want anyone responding until the week has gone by? It seems like ongoing replies stimulates discussion on ways (and better ways) to solve the problem. Kai Klaas said:
I haven't enough time to read every single post and to learn all the new adjustments and new symbols. No sophisticated rules, please! I come hear to have fun, not to have to learn new rules nearly every day. I have agree with you both. The fact of posting a puzzle should not forbid other people to discuss about it. With discussion people may find a solution and it stimulates our thinks; I full agree with Craig. Opposite way is that we divide members into two groups: there are some people who are so smart to know solution and keep silence ("hehe, I do know, but you...") and the rest others who have ideas, questions, definitions etc but cannot post them due sophisticated rules. I have my puzzle to be post too next friday. I do not see anything wrong if people will ask me with additional details and this is fine to see how the people try to find the solutions; how they are work in the one team. For me the idea of puzzle is that the original poster does not post solution for a week. If other people found it early then it is nice. It they did not do then they are discussing it and seeing from many sides at least. In any way, Steve and Craig: this is your right to set up final rules. I said my opinion - you may have different ones. Regards, Oleg |
