Yes, your idea is great.
E.g. to set a 16 bit DAC without glitches, you should do it in this way. Simple use ALE to drive the strobe input of the 16 bit device. I understand not, why so man people are fearful about using P0/P2 for it. On my view P0/P2 are IO ports and thus the usage for whatever you want is their designation. Maybe on former days connecting peripherals blocked often P0,P2 from other usage. But today derivates with Flash and SRAM and CAN and ADC and so on already inside the chip need no longer such restrictions. Peter |
