#148105 - one early morning in tech support Responding to: ???'s previous message |
When working for a CA company, the tech support people balked at getting to work at 5 AM to support the east coast and the first 3 hours of support was then shared between engineering and support. so once every 2 weeks I got there at 5 AM and sat at the support desk for 3 hours. We sold equipment where the "economy model" cost $85k. One morning a customer calls "how do I do this" I reply "look at page x in manual y" he replied "they cost $25 and my boss will not let me have them".
Erik PS Of course, the unit came with manuals, the customer referred to above bought a used unit on the grey market. |
