#100171 - No free lunch!
Responding to: ???'s previous message

Is there a specific way to use timers to generate a PWM signal

Others have already suggested the PCA;
Some variants have a dedicated PWM generator on-chip.

I have found different versions for doing this online, but compiled they never produce any output from the uC.

There is no such thing as a free lunch!
Almost invariably, any free code will require some work by you to
1. understand how it works;
2. adapt it to the specifics of your particular hardware & application (possibly also to your compiler).

Rather than just give up and say, "they never produce any output," what have you done to find out why...?!
