#101069 - Multi Processor communication
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi Charles ,

The connection is correct Rx of micro to RO of RS485 and Tx of micro to DI of RS485. In addition to that u need to connect the direction control pin to control the direction of the transreciever there are two dirction control pin in Max485 but can be sorted together and connected to any one port of the controller and then can be programed as reciever or transmitter. Do not forget to teminate the bus by proper termination else reflection may haywire you application.

Regarding Multiprocessor communication u can just down load the data sheet of 89C51 hardware description, there u can find the description regarding Mode 2 & Mode 3 of serial communication. which clearly explain the 9th bit operation for multi processor communication

Hope this will help.
