I am talking 4 wire RS485. RS422 is 1 to 1 (like RS232).
There is also 2 wire RS485. In this Mode the talker would have to disable its receiver, or ignore the received data while it was talking. Look at B&B electronics web site they have a good write up on the subject. The 8051 UART mode is a seperate subject. |
