I think Neil is talking 422 and Ijaz is talking 485. While 422, in some ways, is "easier to code" using it is adding cost to the product. The supposed "easier to code" has led to much haphazard coding where slaves got into a fight. With 485 ONLY ONE transmitter can be on at any time When doing "direction switching" do remember that the serial ints occur before the stop bit is (fully) transmitted/received. I always insert a one bit time delay before switching the transmitter off and two bit times before switching it on. Erik |
