I remmember that sometimes back some version unexpectedly was crashing on my system also.
try to use V13.0 or 4.13r1 it should be steady.you could find eagle version history throught their FTP site ,i didn't tried the new version ,they are updating it really rapidly !(ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/pub/program/). did you used Eagle's NNTP Message board as mentioned by dear Rob ?,NNTP will nead a Email client such as Outlook .
