#101650 - memory types and datatypes
Responding to: ???'s previous message
hi,

Jan, originally you asked about types of memory (IRAM, XRAM, SFR, EEPROM etc) but now we discuss more about datatypes (DATA, IDATA, XDATA, CODE etc). I just wish to point that you should define what we talk about.

Datatypes is related to programming part. They are defined with compilers. You may find description of these terms, for example, in Keil C/ASM manuals.

IRAM, XRAM etc are terms of MCU vendors and are related to physical layer of memory realization and its access from MCU core.

Indeed, types of memory and datatypes have many common points but I would not mix these all into one part.

Regards,
Oleg
