#102493 - Think about it
Responding to: ???'s previous message

Another quick look at Digikey shows they charge a $5.00 Handling on orders below $25. They also may charge $6.00 Processing fee for international orders. Shipping to Italy will be minimum $30 with insurance. They will probably be other charges for tariffs which are not know. Now add up all the charges ($5.00 + $6.00 + $30.00 + ?? + $1.12) it comes to $42.12. It appears this $1.12 crystal is vaporware.

I'm not sure what the purpose of your post was, Charles. Living in Mexico and often ordering from Digikey, I can assure you that your post reflects a fundamental lack of understanding of reality when it comes to placing international orders. The most absurd part of your message is the part that assumes that anyone would order just a single crystal. Another absurd part is that your post assumes that Digikey is the only source of crystals and that the original poster could not acquire the crystal in question for a similar price locally.

The $1.12 oscillator is most definitely not vaporware. The logic in your post, however, most certainly is.

Stop trolling, Charles.

Craig Steiner
