#104757 - Many thanks, one last thing Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Many thanks guys, all of your comments and reference links helped a lot. I have achieved my initial goal of setting up serial port and communicating with PC. It has been a success apart from one single issue.
As I used "Bray terminal" recommended by Jan, need less to say that its far better than hyper terminal. With Bray terminal serial communication works fine both ways i.e transmit and recieve functions. But just out of curiosity I also tried "Hyper Terminal". In hyper terminal recieve operations works fine (i.e. when i send data from uC to PC) but transmit does not work (i.e. when I try to send data from PC to uC) actually I am unable to write anything in hyper terminal window. Any guess why is that? sorry I am not moaning that ohh its not working I am actually quite happy that Bray terminal is giving me desired results but it would be good to know hyper terminal's dodgy behavior.
