#104774 - hyperterminal, setup Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I think this is the behaviour of hyperterminal (in fact any terminal) when the handshake is on but, physically, no handshake is present. Try checking at File-Properties-Configure-PortSettings/FlowControl, should be None. After changing the settings Call-Disconnect then Call-Connect (there are icons for this, too); this is necessary only on Win9x if I recall right; but I do it all the time just to be sure. Then don't forget to save the "session" otherwise next time you will need to set it up again. Please let know if this was the case.
Although hyperterminal is not too easy to use, it is good to master it, as it is present on almost all Win computers, so you don't need to carry around and install etc. your favorite terminal e.g. when you work at a client. Jan Waclawek PS. I know this all is simple and trivial but sometimes one gets completely crazy with the most simple stuff... |
