74lvc4245 available from Philips, TI and, probaly, others is THE way to do it. There is no deteroiation of pulse shapes, no "can not do quasi-bidirectional, no reduced noise immunity, no this and no that. It just works.
The other way (3.3 to 5V) is easily accomplished using HCT gates, the Vih, Vil match 3v3 and the Voh and Vol match 5V, I use 4245LVC even in that direction if I have buses. Erik |
