#105549 - If connections are short...
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I just had a look into datasheet of your FPGA. It seems that maximum input signal transition time is 250nsec. This would allow a stray capacitance of up to 110pF. So, when the connection between 74HC09 and FPGA is very short, then you can do it with the open drain methode.
