I have one of the Quatech 4-port boards: it has a Texas Instruments TL16C554A Quad UART and a Cypress EZ-USB - which is, I believe, 8051-based...!

There's also a little Xilinx XC9536 - which might possibly be something to do with stacking multiple boards to make the 8- and 16-port versions...?
