who are you and what does your company do?

The shaft encoder uses EnDat 2.1 protocol from heidenhain company. I searched their website for all relevant documentation with no success to find the CRC polynomial.
I displayed on LCD both the position data and the 5 bit CRC code transmitted by the shaft encoder and found many CRC calculators on the internet. Comparing the two CRCs they are always different.
I will try another attempt by including my sent command to the CRC calculation. May be they include it with their CRC calculation.
The position data I'm getting is correct for it changes from 0 to 1FFFF for 1 complete revoluation.
