The API is for a mixed signal radio transreciever ASIC chip.

So what you are developing is not "an API library for an 8051 chip" but "code for using a certain ASIC to assis in using it"

That is a a TOTALLY different story and, if you do that right (provide the source) can be very helpful to many.
