#126703 - Write what you mean Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Jan,
Exactly! It's only I²C if they write I²C, or if they write I^2C in the absence of either access to the extended ASCII character set or the ability to otherwise superscript. If they write I2C, they have written "aaay two seee," which does not mean I²C, I^2C or "aaaay squared seee." Understand, this is not a bridge over which I will kill or die. It is, nonetheless, a pet peeve. It grates me like people who write in SMS, or who can't be bothered to incorporate punctuation or capitalization in their corespondence (sic?). Of course, it probably is expecting a bit much of people to use punctuation, capitalization, or even complete words, when they so often aren't even willing to write complete sentences. Okay. I'll get off of my soap box now. It's Erik's fault anyway! (Yeah! That's it! I'll blame Erik!) Joe |
