And updating a version number by hand can be forgotten.
Yes, I have and my 'acceptance tester' came right back at me. There is a key sequence that show the version on the display.

I know that in some situations it is impossible, but I do all I can to work in a way that is based on the truth that the only one you can not check is yourself
