I actually live in South Central Indiana, but my company is located in your neck of the woods. More specifically, Apex,NC.
I got tired of the traffic on I-40 and am now "sharing" my land with a number of horses, goats and other assorted critters. I get back down there every few months to attend to things I cannot do by "telecommuting". But my experience has been that FAE's won't give you the time of day if you don't make hundreds of thousands of widgets, and we don't. Perhaps your experience does not reflect this.
