With the modern derivatives with hardware IIC/SMB IIC is a breeze and I have several uCs and a couple of peripheral chips singing beautifully in a choir directed by IIC. Did I 'dislike' IIC in the bit-banging days? you bet.
Have a try with HW IIC and my guess is that you will love it. The advantage, as I see it, of IIC vs SPI is that you do not need the blasted 'chip select' wire which can become a real pain in the behind when you have a multitude of devices. Erik |
