 		 #137739 - two crystals
hi,
I want to assemble two crystals permanently on my 8051 based board to have choice to select one of them as main crystal for oscilation (MCU clock), I connect one pin of both crystals to XTAL1.the pin XTAL2 is connected to a common pin of a 3pin switch , the other pins of two crystals are connected to this switch too so I can choose XTAL2 to connect to one of two crystals.
have you done something like that before?, according to oscillator architecture and crystal characteristic can this idea cause an unwanted frequency??
