Other uses of CHPCON bits according to that table are:
- software reset - flash programming enable - flash programming target selection (one of the two banks of flash) I suspect FLASH programming is not your problem, nor is software reset (both are rather tricky so they most probably will either work all the time or never). There are also 2 bits labelled as "Reserve" (which I'd guess are unimplemented in hardware) and 2 bits labelled as "Must be set to 0", which apparently are undocumented bits for some factory purpose (testing?). Is this what you suspect might be the cause of the troubles? What are exactly the symptoms? JW |
