Jon, as you know the some of the data I will be sending to VB6 is decimal numbers. 10.3, 300.35 sort of. What will be the best way to send these results. My AD converter gives me a number from 0-255 then I make a look up table to come up with the right value, which most likely will be in decimal points. So should I send it like 0-255 or like a float number and then make the conversion? For me it will better to send the number already converted...how do I do that?
From the 8051 I am trying this: printf ("\r%4.2f",valueC); // value already converted and it works with Hyperterminal This is how I am receiving it and trying to display it on vb6. Dim NewVal As Single NewVal = MSComm1.Input txtVal = Asc(Mid$(NewVal, 1, 4)) It does not display anything...What is wrong? Thanks |
