#141301 - 'wrong' is too strong Responding to: ???'s previous message |
'wrong' is too strong but the last post from Stefan Kanev is confusing.
let me clear some thing up 1) the master send an address which the slave must recognize (you select which) 2) if you use devices with hardware IIC and CodeArchitect you are home free 3) NEVER bit-bang a slave, it is a nightmare (can be done, but oh boy) ALWAYS have the slave with HW IIC 4) preferably use a device with HW IIC for the amster, but you CAN bit-bang that one. 5) even with using CodeArchitect it is still a good idea to read up on IIC, but instead of something like "members.fortunecity" (who know how correct that is) go to NXP and get it from the horses mouth (Philips invented IIC) Erik |
