first, I congratulate you on stating fully what you have done.
Replaced ... Replaced programming chips is not childs play, there are so many specifics that are extermely critical so called 'working designs' have failed when a HC was repaced by a HCT, when a capacitor value was changed when ... I will not even try to count the number of threads we have seen "this working circuit does not work" that have ended with "I did not think that substituting ... with ... would make a difference. 1) the 'designs' floating on the web may and may not work 2) if you substitute anything they, most likely, will not work. So I recommend speding the $25 for the "authorized" inteface cable, trying on your own is frustrating. Replaced 100ohm resistance with 1K resistances as i thought that they are just T = RC; what do you think this change does to the signal risetrime/delay? Erik |
