#145600 - CMOS or NMOS? |
I was successful in making my own 8051 system using CY7C185-35PC RAM. That ram appeared to be CMOS.
Now I want to do the same 8051 project, this time, using the MB8299-25P-SK ram or similar. I intend to buy my ram from Ebay from a trustworthy seller. This one seems to have 32K of memory where as my old ram CY7C185 had only 8K. I will use the same 8051 chip (intel 80C51BH). Do I have to slow down the speed of the 8051 chip to factor in the new RAM? I think the new ram is on NMOS (or NCMOS?) technology. I was using an 18.432Mhz crystal to power my 8051 board, and I want to try not to drop the speed alot. thanks. |
