#145623 - why play with antiques?
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I could get 12 IC's for < $2,
you are (I hope) not making commercial products, so why get 12 (dysfunctional) chips for the price of one (verified good)?

Anything above that will be practically wasted
so friggin what. I use 128 k chips and 'waste' 64 k all the time (a 64k chip cost MORE than a 128k chip)

why play with antiques? Of course if your misson in life is to make what can't work work, have fun, but PLEASE go elsewhere with your self created problems.

Erik
