#145618 - reason Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The reason why I was considering making that purchase is because I could get 12 IC's for < $2, and I could pay it through paypal.
I would like to order 32KB of ram instead of a different size because my 8051 can address up to 64KB of ram, and I want one address line free for control-based operations, so that allows me to address the 8051 to 32KB of ram. Anything above that will be practically wasted, since the microcontroller won't have access to it (It won't have access to more than 64KB even if I tried). I also want to spend as little money as possible on each chip. It would be nice if it was a compact DIP package (about the width of a 7400 series DIP IC). |
