Come to think of it, maybe I should use auto-polling ;)
by that I mean, tie the busy status line (whatever data line that is on a KS0108) to an external interrupt pin through a logic gate. But I have to prevent the INT from activating when I write to the LCD. Looks like this is something I will have to experiment with. Standard polling is a pain if I wanted to make a high speed application and I don't know the minimum number of processor cycles to waste. |
