Doubling the number of workers very seldom halves the timescale, unless it really is a purely repepetive task - which clearly this isn't. There's an old saying in project management: just because it takes one woman 9 months to produce a baby doesn't mean that 9 women can do it in 1 month. Generally, adding more workers adds overhead in managing and coordinating them... |
