#147483 - About using an RJ45 connector Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The other reason I use this particular connector is because some of my stuff down the line needs to be converted back to RS232 and there isn't any handy source of power so I ship it down the wire. I have jumpers which can disconnect the power if I need; probably violating any number of standards. I can't think of one right off but I'm sure my forum-troll will ;) I don't always adhere so closely to certain standards, not pertaining to safety, so I tend to design some utilitarianism into my systems. |
