#148491 - Check ALE ,also 89c51rd1 or 89v51rd2
Responding to: ???'s previous message
For 89c51rd2 & 89v51rd2 , PSEN should be tied to GND for ISP Mode & to VCC through 10k resiatance for nornal mode during reset period. After reset just check for pulses on ALE. There should be pulese of xthal/6 on ALE which indicate mcu is running/working(executing instrion either in ISP or normal mode).

Please check whether you are using 89c51rd2 or 89v51rd2 because in India now mostly 89v51rd2 is available. If it is 89v51rd2 then you select that from flashmagic menu.

Prog proc
I have also faced similar problem like you.
- First just check for V or C version and select acc in Flashmagic menu
- PSEN tied to GND for ISP mode (in 89v51rd2 this is also not neccessary)
- Keep presssing reset switch/button (RESET pin to VCC ) and press program button on Flash magic. It will show dialouge box- "please boot mcu in ISP mode " . release the RESET reset switch/button after 5-8 sec and IC will get programmed.

If still facing problem please talk to me on my mobile -09428007328
