http://www.8052.com/users/erikm/notouch.doc Are you able to check with another programmer whether or not the boot vector code has been erased? When in doubt, I used a Labtool Universal programmer to check by reading the device. If there is no code @ FC00h then it will never go into boot mode. Also the SBV must be FC. If you CAN try another 89C51RD2 with your hardware or try your micro with another programmer (perhaps a parallel programmer) it would save a great deal of grief. Maybe a friend or colleague has a programmer you can borrow. If you are 100% sure that your hardware is good, this might be the only way. Good Luck |
