#149770 - Some of SFRs could be treated like RAM cells... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
...but not all! I guess the SFR and RAM cells are fabricated using the same topology, but the content of SFRs not only depend on what you write into it, but also on certain related hardware and internal microroutines, which can alter the content of these cells too. I think it makes not much sense to use the SFR as RAM cells. It would be rather dangerous: One "wrong" instruction and your "RAM" content is history...
But why are you rising such a question?? Why can't you live with the explaination given in the hardware description of manufacturer? Kai |
